Saeed Rezaee Parsa is an Architectural Engineer with a focus on Building Technology and Energy Efficiency that
works as a researcher in Integrated Design Research Lab at the Department of Architecture under
Dr. Kim’s supervision. He is cooperating in the innovative research project of Algae Façade and
its visual comfort effect inside the building. In this research different visual aspects of the Algae
façade including Useful Daylight Illuminance (UDI), Daylight Glare Index (DGP) and Correlated
Color Temperature (CCT) is being investigated via lab measurements, prototyping and
simulations.
He is also lead author of a paper regarding Visual Light Transmittance of the Algae glazing which
is being prepared for publication. Since he has a background in human comfort inside the
buildings area, he is also designing a human survey research with Dr. Kim to investigate human
visual and thermal perception of the Algae façade.
Saeed has a bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering and a Master of Science in Energy and
Architecture from the University of Tehran, the most prominent university in Iran. Prior to joining
IDRL team, he was a research fellow at Polytechnic University of Milan, Department of
architecture, built environment, and construction engineering since 2019.
